Computer Software CDs
The Van Houten library has many software titles available for in-person borrowing. Software that can be borrowed are available to current NJIT students and faculty for one day use. Students and Faculty may check it out, take it home, install it, and return it the next day. Most software housed in the library are not available for borrowing by NJIT staff. Information Services & Technology
Information Services & Technology (IST) provides and maintains access to an extensive list of software available for Windows, Solaris, MAC OS, Linux and IRIS for the NJIT community. Not all software is available for download or library borrowing. Software availability is organized into various categories.
Software titles that can be downloaded and installed on your local machine vary by platform, and license terms vary by vendor and depend on your role at the university (e.g. student, faculty, researcher or staff member). Downloading software while off-campus require use of the Virtual Private Network (VPN) software. You also must have a valid UCID and UCID password to download software licensed by NJIT.
