These cards, available at the Circulation Desk, may be checked out for one day. LAN cards will allow students to access the NJIT network and the internet from their laptops WITHOUT having to plug the laptop into a port.

Each LAN card comes with a package that includes instructions with a CD-ROM that contains software that students will need to install on their laptops.  The instructions include a list of buildings and locations on campus where there is wireless coverage.

You can the availability of the wireless cards in the library's online catalog.

UPDATE (Jan 25, 2002): According to the NJIT Telcom Dept., the LAN cards available to be borrowed from the library work with Windowx XP. Win XP has built in support for this card, and users should insert the card and it will install the drivers on its own.

Both the Van Houten Library and the Littman Architecture Library have wireless coverage throughout.
